Insul-learner
Insul-learner
Illustrates R-value of Insulation
The Insul-learner, a popular component for use in BPI training programs, illustrates the relative R-value of different insulation materials. A central heat source radiates heat through four cavities, each with a different type of insulation. The typical insulations used are: fiberglass, cellulose, foam, and air. Thermometers are inserted through the lid on the outside edge of each insulation chamber. Students can plot the temperature change for each cavity over an hour to graphically reveal the effectiveness of each type of insulation. Price: $360.00+S&H

Insul-Boxes
Insul-Boxes
Compare insulation R-values
The Insul-Box is a simple but effective tool to help students determine the effectiveness of four common insulation's. By placing the Insul-Box on a heating pad, students can scan it with an infrared camera or IR thermometer to measure the performance of each insulation.
